Side Bar Width

    Ah! Ok, that makes sense.

    I think we are pretty close with the front page…I am having some trouble with the sizing/spacing of the top right image and the size of the bottom left image. I don’t seem to be able to control them to make them line up with the other images…do you know why?

    Also, I still can’t figure out how to make the content of the front page wider…any thoughts? I think I would like to add another column of images in the same fashion if we can make it wide enough.

    Thanks again – I am so excited with what we’ve gotten together so far!

    On making things wider, in this rule in your CSS
    .site-content
    change the max-width to 75 or 80% and then also add the following.

    .hentry.page {
        max-width: 100%;
    }

    On the portrait images on right top, it’s a matter of proportion on that image. Right now, the width is controlling the size of the image. The image will have to be narrower in proportion. My rough guess would be that the image proportions for the right top and bottom image would have to be 1.5 height to width. So for example, if the image is 300px wide, it would need to be 450px tall. That is just an example.

    I would suggest the same sort of adjustment on the image on the lower left although the proportion on that one would be about 1.3 height to width.

    If you are using Photoshop, you should be able to set your crop for proportions rather than actual pixels. The image doesn’t have to be any certain size, they only have to have the right proportions.

    Ah! Ok, thank you! I am going to continue to play with this. I may make 3 columns, now that I have some more width to play with.

    One final question for the moment. I want the page to have a title (for my own organization), but I don’t want that title to appear at the top as it is now. Is there a way to get rid of this? I tried:
    <h1 class=”entry-title” style=”display: none;”>Front Page: Gallery</h1>
    But its not working. Any thoughts what I have wrong here?

    Hi thesacredpath,

    I know this has been resolved for sometime, but I have a question about it and I was hoping you could help (as my sad attempts have all failed!)

    I would like my main page to remain as we set it up, but all of the additional pages to be wider…I realize this is a little tricky with the sidebar remaining in the same spot (it may just have to shift to the left, creating a larger gap on the first page but still looking centered with the content always)…is this possible?

    Hi, I am working on theme Cerauno (www.designandconquer.me) and I would love to get rid of the Sidebar 2 (which should increase the size of my content area).

    What CSS can I use?

    Thanks!

    @clippoutline, @parulthakur24, and @millimidwood, this thread is discussing the Blask theme and since CSS is generally theme specific, can I ask you to create a new thread in the CSS Forum? Many thanks in advance.
