    I want to insert a side list of my last 20 posts plus buttons to navigate between previous and next 20 posts. Regards

    The easiest way to do that would be to use the Recent Posts widget shown here:

    However, the Ryu theme only offers widget areas at the top of the page that are displayed when you click the hamburger icon here:

    If you would like the Recent Posts widget to appear on your sidebar, you would need to change to a theme that has a sidebar function.

    Could you clarify where you would like this button to appear? Would you like it to be displayed on your home page once you scroll down through the initial list of posts?
