Hi there,
- Go into your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Appearance.
- Go to Widgets.
- Select the Text widget.
- Add it to the Sidebar.
- Add your links into the Text widget using HTML.
Check these out for more help.

@nonewhere The site you’ve linked to at nonewhere.wordpress.com is currently using the Twenty Ten theme and the last post was from 2011. Is that the site you need help with? If you are referring to a different site, please give us the site URL.

Mark,
Let’s start with the simple. Nothing on my page stated the word dashboard. I don’t know where to find it. In the old style of wordpress I could find it. The new style is too complicated to move around in. BTW I was wrong about the page I was working on. It is: https://eastmeetswestflyfishing.wordpress.com/

Hi @nonewhere,
Two suggestions:
1) From your ‘new style’ window, look for WP Admin — last option bottom left menu (lower left corner of your page). Click on that to get to your dashboard.2) Or go to https://eastmeetswestflyfishing.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ to get to your dashboard.

OK Mark, thanks. I am almost there. I have the inks but they just show up as text, not actual links you can click on. There is also something called blogroll, which I will ask about later. Even though I checked the boxes to show the link and the image of the site, these do not come on. Can you guide me to the next steps? Thank you.
Here is what it looks like:

Nice, @nonewhere!
If you recall, in my first reply step #6.
Add your links into the Text widget using HTML.
This means you need to know HTML. Here’s a quick tutorial about links.
HTML code syntax for a hyperlink<a href="url">link text</a>Replace url with your http:// link. Don’t remove the double quotes. Replace the link text with your text for the link. Here’s an example.
Read up on links.

Sorry, forgot to finish the escape up above. It should read.
Replace url with your http:// link. Don’t remove the double quotes. Replace the link text with your text for the link. Here’s an example.
