  With the theme Dara, is there any way to get the sidebar to show up with a static homepage? If not, are there any themes that do support this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Edit the page, and change the page format for your front page to the default format. At the moment you have it set to the Full Width (no sidebar) format.

  I reset it to default but the sidebar still hasn’t shown up.

  Hi arinsmadagascaradventure,

  The Dara theme only supports a sidebar on the homepage when it displays the latest posts. You have chosen to use a static front page instead, which is why there is no sidebar — choosing a different template has no effect in this instance.

  If you go to My Sites > Customise > Homepage settings and set “Your homepage displays” to “Latest posts”, you’ll notice the sidebar appears.

  I forgot to mention that Sela, Shoreditch and Penscratch 2 all support a sidebar on a static front page. Other themes do too but these were the main ones that sprung to mind.
