  http://iamlori2.wordpress.com/ is a site I am working on. Because of its nature, I don’t need categories, search, archives, etc. in the left sidebar but I don’t see how to take them off in this particular theme. Can someone help me? I’m not hugely literate in these things, so I hope it’s an easy answer!

  What you are seeing is the default sample set I believe that is displayed by the theme if no widgets have been added by the owner.

  Simply go to appearance > widgets and add in the widgets you do want and the sample display of widgets will disappear.
