Sidebar
-
I have been trying for so long to figure out how to get a vertical sidebar navigation in one of my pages. Tried so many different things.
I’m unsure if the theme I am using doesn’t support them or if I just can’t figure it out.
I have multiple plug ins to build a menu, i have the sidebar widget and have put the menu I built in the widget.
When i go to appearance and customize, there is so sidebar option to select or deselect nor is there a page layout option.
Also, I’m aware this page is basically filled with nothing at this point but I’m trying to figure out the navigation on the sidebar before I add a bunch of posts to navigate through.
Please advise, I will be so incredibly grateful for helpSelf-declared URL: https://liveinaffirmation.com/workouts/

Thank you for contacting WordPress.com support. It looks like your WordPress site isn’t hosted with us, but rather it’s hosted with a different hosting provider and using the free, open-source version of WordPress software.
Unfortunately, this limits our ability to assist. Since your site is not on our managed hosting platform, we can’t investigate or resolve issues on it directly.
However, I would like to let you know about our own managed hosting offering. Our WordPress.com managed hosting controls the technical aspects of running WordPress like keeping your site updated, daily backups, and offering security features so you don’t have to worry about these and instead focus on creating your site. You can learn more about our managed hosting here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/
A potential solution for you could be transferring your website to our managed WordPress.com hosting using our user-friendly migration plugin.
Use the Move to WordPress.com plugin to migrate a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com. Follow the steps in this guide to import your site (including your content, media, plugins, and theme) directly from your wp-admin dashboard. Prerequisites To follow the steps in this guide, you will need: Your source site: a WordPress site with any other hosting provider (referred to as a sePlease note this could potentially ease a lot of the issues you’re currently facing, including managing things like sidebars and widgets, as our managed hosting includes built-in support for such customization.
Still, even if moving isn’t currently an option for you, remember that you can also alternative assistance by asking for help in the community support forums for the open-source version of WordPress, which is the version your host uses for your site. They are in the best position to help. Here is the forum I’m referring to:
