  is there anyway to add another sidebar to my theme? I have truly minimal right now, but it only came with one sidebar. I wanted one for the footer area too.

  Yes but it’s not free of charge nor is it easily done. It would require an annually renewable custom design upgrade and CSS editing skills.

  Why don’t you select another theme with the features you want?
