Sidebar
-
Hi!
I am using the ‘Esquire theme’ for my blog but can’t seem to put any widgets on the side, only as a footer. Is there any way to utilise the spaces on the right and lower left of the page? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
The Esquire theme only offers a footer widget area, not a sidebar. It looks like you’ve recently switched to Chateau (which does offer sidebar widgets). Are you happy with the look and feel of that theme?

I have 2 blogs and the Chateau theme is for the 2nd blog.
Is it possible to customize the Esquire theme to accommodate a sidebar? -
Hi!
It is not possible to add a sidebar to the Esquire theme. Would something like Wilson work instead?
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/wilson/
It has a similar layout, but the left-hand sidebar is available for widgets.

I have another question please, I have 2 blogs but want to separate the contact information for them. Is that possible? Can I have viewers of one blog see the name and contact details for the brains behind the blog but remain anonymous for the 2nd?

In order to achieve the setup you’re going for, you’ll need to create a new user account that is anonymous by filling out the form here:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
That will help you create a new username. Then, invite that username to be a contributor to the blog you want to remain anonymous:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-contribute-to-your-blog
You’ll want to publish all posts under that anonymous account. Otherwise, if you publish to both blogs from the same account, your posts will always be linked to your user profile.
