Hey there, i am using ideation and intent theme and i am in love with it☺️ But i have a problem, i can not see my latest photos on the image sidebar. Hi! There’s an intermittent issue in Ideation and Intent where sometimes the photo sidebar isn’t updated. Our developers are aware of the issue, but there isn’t a fix at the moment. Sorry about that. We’ll keep you posted if the issue is resolved.
Are you using the editor in WP Admin, or the new editor at wordpress.com/post?

I believe I am using the new editor (and honestly can’t find the old editor anymore.) But the editor should not be the issue. The bar automatically captures recent photos, in theory. As far as I know, the bar cannot be manipulated.

The issue that @kathrywp mentions is only happening in the new editor. If you hover over My Sites in the top admin bar and then click on WP Admin you can then click on Posts to bring up a listing of your posts and then click on the post name to edit it in the Dashboard editor. Give that a try and see if that works for you and let me know.

I don’t believe you are talking about the same thing. It’s not the listing of the posts. It’s the image sidebar which is generated by the theme. It’s supposed to capture images from the recent posts which click through to the posts. But it rarely updates. It’s updated only twice since I changed the to this theme moons ago. There’s nothing wrong with the posts, or the list of posts on the homepage. There are several forums about it but no resolution as far as I see.

@tjbh13, yes, I’m talking about the sidebar listing. What appears to be happening is that the beep beep boop new editor is not triggering the update of the image sidebar. That is the reason we suggest trying the dashboard editor when you write new posts, at least until this issue is resolved. When you write your next post, if you could try the dashboard editor and let us know if your image sidebar updates, that would confirm things. In my testing, the sidebar updated on both editors for me, but then again, I did all of my texting in less than half an hour rather than over a longer period of time.
One other thing I would suggest is to open a few of your recent posts that are not showing up in the image sidebar in the dashboard editor, make one minor change, such as adding a space and then deleting it and update the post. This may trigger the theme to update the sidebar images.

Gotcha. That worked. One note adding a space and deleting the space only worked when I clicked on update after each step. Add, update, delete, update. Adding, deleting, updating did not work. But I am good now. Thanks.
