  I want to add sidebar on my home page in the theme Karuna. how can I do?

  You cannot add a sidebar to any theme that has not been designed to have one so be clear on that please.

  Sidebar
  Karuna has a one-column or two-column layout. Add widgets to the sidebar area for a traditional two-column blog, or leave it blank for a sleek one-column style.

  P.S. You can use the Customizer to preview and modify many of your site’s appearance settings, from your Custom Header Image to widgets and more.
