Sidebar and Link Order

Hi – I’m new to WordPress but loving it so far. The only problem I’ve found is changing the order of my links in the sidebar. I’d like to be able put the links in an order I choose, and I’ve tried ordering them by rating but this doesn’t seem to have any effect on the blog itself. I’d also like to be able to put the categories in an order of my choosing – at the moment Blogroll seems to come out on top whatever I do.
Can anyone help? I’m using the Chaotic Soul theme.

The links widget will organize your links under each link category. The category names will be alphabetical with the links in those categories alphabetical under them.
What you can do is use multiple links widgets and then set each widget to display the links under a certain category from the pulldown in the widget. Go to appearance > widgets and click on the right end of the links widget to open it and then select the category you want that widget to display from the pulldown. You can then arrange the links widgets themselves in any order you want. The links under the various categories will be alphabetical. There is no way to change that really.
I’ve never messed with the ratings thing, but you set the ratings for links by going to links > edit and opening a link for edit. Then at the bottom of the “advanced” section you can set the rating for the link. Ratings are from 0 to 9.
