Sidebar and most posts are gone
-
When I go to my blog the side bar is gone and there is also only the last post visible. And the dashboard toolbar does not appear either. Yet when I click on our About page everything is there! Is this something that can just be clicked back or were we hacked or what?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Probably has something to do with Your page is missing the closing </html> tag
Follow the above link and things should get better.

Thanks!
Everything now seems to be back to normal without me doing anything. I saw raincoaster mention that it could be from something too wide for the column. All I did recently was add the category cloud which I simply assumed was okay as it is a WP widget.

Ok, another thing I did was delete a few categories that seemed redundant. But, when I put back in “toemail” and “Toes” in as categories, everything seems to have returned! Problem here is that on the categories page it says that nothing will change and that posts that would now have no category would default to Uncategorized. Didn’t happen, sidebar and all posts but one disappeared.

If you delete a category that has posts assigned ONLY to that category, the post is supposed to revert to the default category assigned at settings > writing. If the post has more than the deleted category assigned, then that category is supposed to be deleted from that post. It is never supposed to make the posts invisible. You might have stumbled onto another of the many bugs with the recent update they did here.
