Sidebar Appears at Bottom of Blog

My sidebar appears at the bottom of my blog and the text of my blog gets smaller about halfway down the page. Has anyone else had this problem? More importanly, does anyone know how I can fix it?

Set your blog to display only one post per page (settings > reading) and then go through them one at a time to determine which post(s) is/are causing the problem. I suspect it is a broken div tag.

Are you copying and pasting from another program like MS Word? The reason I ask is that there are a huge amount of “span” tags in your posts, and many of them are not closed which can cause issues.
According to W3C validation, you have 5 open div tags and 8 open span tags on the main page.

Yes, I have found those. I am not copying and pasting, but I imported my blog from my old blogspot blog and it seems to have brought all of the span and div tags with it.
Is there any way other than scrolling through each post’s html and searching?

Open each of the posts that are causing the problem and switch to HTML view, highlight everything and then click the “close tags” button. This might take care of the issue, or most of the issues. Post back here if it does not and list the posts that still have the issue and I’ll look at them one at a time. The “close tags” should definitely take care of the span tags, but it may not take care of the div tags.

Thanks, thesacredpath, this seems to have worked. Now that it’s back up and running, I’m going through the posts individually and cleaning them up anyway.
