Sidebar Blogroll order

I’m not even going to deal with policy anymore around here. I just found out what we’ve been telling folks about a single text advert in your sidebar all this time is wrong.

The words “Screw you guys, I’m going home” come to mind.

Please do not go home. Breathe, just breathe and know that sometimes misinterpretation can lead to all kinds of negative feelings.

Can you change the order of the categories using the numbering method mentioned above without the numbers showing up on the sidebar? For example, I have the following categories: Family, Friends, Misc., My Old Sites. I want to put Misc. at the bottom, but I don’t want my sidebar to say 1 Family, 2 Friends, etc. Does that make any sense?

The idea of using numbers or letters in front of a Category title enables their listing in a non-alphabetically ordered list. “No” I’m sorry but the numbers (1-2-3) or the letters (A-B-C) will be displayed in the sidebar if you use them in the Category title. However, if the highest number (eg. 26) or highest letter (eg. Z) is assigned to “Miscl.” then it will appear at the bottom of the list. Hopefully, this will make sense to you.

Also note that there is an “Uncategorized” category and that’s very near the end of the alphabet perhaps “Miscl” items could be categorized as “Uncategorized”.
