Sidebar categories gone
-
My sidebar with categories has disappeared though ARCHIVES remains. This has killed the structure of my site. I have 100s of pages if I have to create new menus it will be a day’s work which I just can’t afford. Looking at people complaining about expanded archives menus (that happened too) it looks as if there is a change at a deeper level than my blog. Can I get my categories menus back? Can I restore my site to “yesterday”?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think there is a problem with the visibility panel not working. I created two category lists and am trying to get one set of posts to appear in one list and the remainder in another.
Whenever I select “Show” if and enter a valid answer, the category list just vanishes.
I think there’s a problem in the underlying code or sql

@caravanramblings
peterviney’s Categories widget is appearing in the sidebar of his blog.
You are using a different theme. See here for the detailed theme description page http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/writr/
and here for enabling the Categories widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/categories-widget/
