Sidebar content indent

  I’m new to CSS, so this is probably a simple problem, but I’m lost. I changed my sidebar’s background color at http://failocracy.com/, but now, the content is too tight against the left side. I’ve been guessing and checking with changes to the css to try to solve this problem, but nothing seems to be working. Is there a simple way to make the background color spread out or to give padding to the content of the sidebar?
