sidebar dashboard help!

  Hi! Recently I added a sidebar widget to my blog but when you go onto the home page it appears at the bottom of the page instead of the left hand side. I’m using the PLANE template. I also can’t find the dashboard because I’m trying to figure out how to categorize my posts! My blog is https://xogirlblog.wordpress.com/2016/11/23/first-blog-post/, thanks!
