sidebar design

I did send an e-mail last week, never got any reaction. I have a problem with the design of the sidebar. I wanted a widget most read posts, but it only published pages, and I want actually only postst. Besides it did only publish 2 pages and not 5 or 10, as I gave in. Further postst I like is cut into 2 posts, one directly under the archive, where it should be, one all down under the content, which I don’t want. Besides, I liked more than just these 2 posts. Can anyone help me now?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The widget is called Top Posts and Pages. You can’t tell it to display posts only.
Moreover, this widget is of very questionable value: if it displays the most visited posts/pages, visitors will tend to click on them, so the same posts/pages will tend to remain the most visited ones. So in my opinion this widget actually falsifies your stats, and I would suggest you simply don’t use it. Instead, you can check your actual blog stats to see which posts get the most views, and use another widget that will link to those posts (a widget which you’ll periodically update yourself).

Thanks for that part, your advize seems logical. But for readers who know the topic and search for attractive articles it can be useful.
Do you also know how I can prevend that a widget is placed down, under the content? And why it only displays 2 posts instead of 5 or 10?
    Thanks in advance

    You’re welcome.
“a widget is placed down, under the content”.
It’s not one widget, it’s half of the Posts I Like widget. But I’m not seeing any problem in the code, and I can’t reproduce the issue in my test blog, so unfortunately I can’t tell why this is happening. Perhaps a staff member can tell us.
