Sidebar disappeared
-
The sidebar on my blog (www.appjudge.wordpress.com) has disappeared from my homepage and been replaced with a :). It appears when going on the ‘about’ and ‘support’ pages.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your sidebar hasn’t disappeared, it’s dropped to the bottom of your homepage (and you should have searched the forum, because there are lots of replies on this). Typically that’s due to bad html in one or more posts. When something like that happens, you must first click the title of each post to see which post causes the problem (in your case it’s “Updated: Flight Control Review”). Next, go to Settings>Writing, tick the option “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”, click Save Changes. Then edit the problem post (make any insignificant change, e.g. add then remove a space) and click Update Post.

Thank you very much for the support. I had searched for this (but clearly not enough), since the posts I found had problems that were specific to the users blog.

Thanks a lot, I followed your instructions to appjudge, they worked for me too !
Another learning curve negotiated. ;-)

Yay! I was waiting to see if a re-read would result in a resolution to the problem. It’s important to know that copy pasting results in HTML errors. That’s why we must use icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the Visual editor. We copy pasted the text into the pop-up that appears after we click one of those icons and the HTML will be cleaned up ans inserted into our posts.
