Sidebar disappeared; no links on home page work
-
Hello there:
The blog I’ve been keeping with my family for the last several months has been messed up for a few weeks now (I’ve tried several times to get help here in the forums, but no response yet). From the home page you can no longer see the sidebar (if you go to individual posts, though, the sidebar does show up again); nor can I click on “Edit” or “comments” there–none of the hyperlinks work. I’ve tried to poke around and see how to fix it, but I’m not at all a techie so haven’t gotten very far. Can anyone have a look to see what might have gone wrong? PLEASE? Thank you!

I checked http://pdxtomysore.wordpress.com/ and I see that the sidebar has fallen to the bottom of the content area. That can happen if some badly nested HTML was added to one of the posts by mistake. It is usually caused by copying and pasting content from some other source into the editor and having something go astray in that process. To fix it, you need to find which post is causing the trouble and correct the syntax mistake.
There is a help page that was written about this issue:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/html-troubleshooting/#fixing-a-sunken-sidebarI will also take a closer look to see if I can help you spot where the problem is coming from.

Re-saving the post fixed the problem.
Here is the revision:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I knew that was probably the post that was the problem, just didn’t know how to fix it.
Many thanks again,
