Sidebar Dyad 2 theme

Dear,
I really like the look and feel of the Dyad 2 theme, but for my blog it is important that I can add widgets to the right hand side of the website.
That way I can show my Instagram feed. Let people subscribe to my newsletter and show a standard welcom text.
At the moment the only widget area available is the footer. I already tried different things but I am not able to place the widgets where I want.
Is this possible in any way?Kind regards.

Here are some options to consider:
1. Search for other themes that have the layout you want. You could use the WordPress.com theme browser to search for themes with a right sidebar.

2. Use the footer widgets. The Dyad 2 theme offers four columns there.
3. (most complicated) If you have the Business plan or upgrade to the Business plan, it would be possible to use a customized version of Dyad 2 that could have a right column for widgets. I would characterize this as possible more than practical as a near term solution. The customizing task could be challenging.
