Sidebar had disappeared from home page.

    I thought I fixed this problem but didn’t. The sidebar has disappeared from my main page (where I post my blogs) but still appears on the comment page and other pages. HELP!

    Hi there, it looks like you have a self-hosted WordPress site, so you’ll need to go to the WordPress.ORG support forums to get in-depth help.

    Here’s the link: http://wordpress.org/support/

    Note it’s a completely different website so if you’ve never posted there you’ll need to create a new username and password.

    That having been said, the problem you are experiencing is usually caused by having an open tag in one of your posts. If you remember when the problem started occurring, look at the post you made that day that has an opening tag without a closing tag. Here’s what I mean:

    <h2> If you type like this and don't include a tag like this</h2> unexpected things can happen to your formatting.

    P.S. Here’s the difference between sites hosted at WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.org installs in case that bit was confusing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Thanks soooo much. I’m checking for the open tag now. If I can’t fix it, I’ll try the other website.
