Sidebar Images Vanished

  I hope this wasn’t answered anywhere else… I did a search but didn’t find what I was looking for.

  I put some images in a text widget in my sidebar. Even though I didn’t change anything, all of a sudden the images aren’t showing up, only an X and the name I gave to the uploaded image. Any ideas?

  As volunteers don’t have backend access to blogs and only staff do, I believe you’ll have to send in a feedback to staff (button on the top right corner of any blog page) .

  All of a sudden all my widgets are not showing up at all. I went back to the presentation>widgets and both sidebars were empty. Have no idea why or how that happened. I reloaded them and they still are not showing up. In fact the whole site is a mess. 15 minutes ago it was fine then they vanished. No McAfee downloaded updates were done. So frustrating. I just don’t get it.

  I’m new and work hard at trying to get things done and for me it is a struggle as I’m not as adapt as others and what is a simple task for one is a major one for me but once it is done I feel like I have accompolished something and then all of a sudden things just disappear.

  I’m at such a loss as I have worked really hard at this point it is all for nothing.

  Take a deep breath and look at the forum: there are at least three other current sidebar widget vanishing threads. It’s a universal problem. Put the gun down and climb in off the ledge.

  The good news is, it’s probably temporary. Something system-wide like htis is going to be on the top of the FIX IT NOW list for WordPress and they’ll be on it ASAP.

  Thanks, I now see tht I obviously checked the wrong place to start with . I see others in the other widget post are having the same prob.

  I knw you all are working hard I just have to learn how to work around the forums better. Sorry.
