SideBar in 3 column templates and IE7

I am using a three column template. I’ve grokked through the forum and found others with a similar issue where everything renders fine in FF, but not in IE7.
I’ve reduced the size of my images that are in any given post, changes the titles, reformatted text. As far as those changes, its solved many of my issues. So thanks for the various tips I found here.
However, for the life of me I cant seem to figure out why, in IE, the google adsense that I have on the far right doesnt completely render and the banner after it doesnt show.
Ive moved the ads around to position the adsense in various spots. but I cant get all three to show up.
In “theory” I would think that as long as the content in the blog was long enough (enough posts to give me enough vertical real estate) the sidebar content would show. (i noticed that it will extend past the template in FF when its one post only – that makes semi-sense to me.)
In older blog templates, like default, I have no issues with the amount of “junk” I want to cram in the sidebar.
Certainly one solution would be to make the google adsense block smaller, and I can do that, but Id rather see if anyone can help me figure out why its doing this rather than just give in. =)
Ive yanked out a bunch of longer “friends” links for now until I get this figured out in entirety, but they didnt seem to be the cause of this either.
The other slightly maddening thing is that in FF the “home” and “archives” links are not working on the top right of the site. Bit off my main topic, but if anyone has an idea why I’d appreciate that as well. Assuming its with the template, but various tricks I have tried have not worked successfully.
