Sidebar in Freshy
-
Just recently, my sidebar has changed from being at the side (right-hand side) of the page to being at the bottom the page – and not as a footer, but rather just as a long, misplaced “side” bar.
It returns to being at the side if I use some of the other themes, such as Chaotic Soul.

It appears to be related to your tag widget. On Safari Mac, the sidebar is on the right side, but this tag, “Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto” doesn’t seem to be breaking and is running off the right side of the theme.
Also this tag, “Peacemaker Kurogane” is doing the same thing and running off the right side of the theme

I suspected it was that. Anyway, I removed the tag cloud widget and the sidebar is back to being a sidebar now. Pity that, I would have liked to have it in the sidebar, though I guess WordPress didn’t count on anyone having 30+ character tags. Or something.

I’m having the same problem as lephemer did. i have removed the categories cloud widget, but my sidebar is still repositioning itself.

I believe the picture you have in the Badlands blanket post is too large. Try removing that and see if the sidebar comes back to the original place. If it isn’t that then it could be because some tag has been left open in one of the posts you’ve made recently. How long has this been happening by the way?

Thanks for the response, ishmeet.
The issue showed up on the 1st or 2nd of January.
The problem predates the photo, but I did test the layout without it and it’s still wonky.

(We really need a FAQ on this) There is probably some bad code somewhere. Set your blog so that only one post shows. Once you locate the offending post, clean up the code there.

Alright, thanks. I took the above suggestion and found the problem was caused by the presence of a ‘split post with More’ tag. Once I removed it, the problem was solved.
Thanks again!
