Sidebar in posts in Watson Theme

Hi!
I really want to implement sidebar and make it visible in my posts but I don’t know how to do this. It already works with no problems on my pages and main side, but doesn’t apply for posts. How can I do this? The theme I have is Watson.
Please help me.

Hi Justyna,
Unfortunately, you cannot add a sidebar when viewing single posts as it was designed this way. In order to add a sidebar you would need to edit the theme’s PHP script files, and we cannot do that on WordPress.com.
However, this would be possible on the self-hosted, WordPress.org. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

Hi gracejiyoung! Thanks for your help. In two days I’m moving my blog to self-hosting and I will start using wordpress.org. Can you tell me what changes in theme’s PHP will I have to implement to have this sidebar visible?
