Sidebar in Twenty Fourteen doesn't change colour completely

  The top half the sidebar is turquoise, and then it reverts back to black. How do I change this?

  Also, how do I change the widget font colour? I’ve changed the size but colours don’t seem to work.

  Finally, the adjustment to the width of the Twitter widget isn’t working, and misaligned on the left-hand sidebar. Any thoughts?

  Sorry, it’s just I’ve solved many of the other problems and the blog was private at the time I posted the last query. More recent queries are getting answers so I assumed I’d fallen off the queue.
