sidebar malfunctions in explorer 6
-
I use firefox on my computer. But I’ve gotten comments from people who use explorer 6 and they say my sidebar overlaps with the main page, like they were squished together. Is this really a problem with explorer itself, or is it just the computers of the individuals? One said, if viewed on firefox, the blog is okay. But once they view it using explorer, it’s squished. It would be a shame if everyone who uses explorer couldn’t view my blog. Any thoughts?

I don’t have IE6 at hand, but I did a quick check of http://chicogarcia.wordpress.com at http://browsershots.org and it seems you are right, the sidebar and the main column do overlap. I’d say it’s a browser issue.

IE6 is pretty notorious for CSS handling errors but even in IE7, while the sidebar doesn’t overlap the central DIV, the Tag Cloud in the sidebar is cut off at the bottom.

Thanks for the quick reply! Wow, that’s a bummer. Just now I’m getting comments again about the sidebar squooshing on the text of my blog. So there’s no way to correct this issue? Everyone who uses IE won’t be able to view my blog properly?
