sidebar moved to bottom – only in Firefox

Wondering if anyone can suggest a solution.

Suddenly yesterday the sidebar dropped to the bottom of my posts. All posts. Even the old ones. But only when viewing in Firefox.

According to previous forum threads, this means the problem is likely an HTML tag in one of the sidebar widgets or text boxes. Well, I completely cleaned out the sidebar (only the search box remained) but the problem still occurred.

It only happens in Firefox. Browsing with Safari is completely fine.

And idea what to do from here?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This is most often caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”

Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, switch from the visual tab to the HTML tab (waiting for the page to refresh) and then switch back to the visual tag (again waiting for it to refresh), and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

That’s the first thing I checked for. No tag issues were found. Yes, I saw the faq recommending that solution too – it didn’t work.

Besides, a single tag in one post wouln’t create a problem with every post on the blog, would it? Nor would it be limited to a single browser.

I’ve checked on another computer and using Firefox on that machine it’s all looking fine.

The problem seems specific to one computer. Strange as they’re both running the same OS with the same version of Firefox, same addons, etc.
