Sidebar moved to the bottom of page
-
For some reason the sidebar which has been on the right of my window has moved to the bottom of the window. I can’t seen to get it back where it was originally. I tried using other schemes but to no avail

it’s usually an image that is too wide forcing the sidebar to the bottom:

I have the same problem. The sidebar is in the correct spot when I view it in Firefox, but moved to the bottom of the page in IE 6.0. My URL is http://blogbythebay.com/

Actually, I’m using IE6 and it looks fine to me. You might find the image in this post is too large for your screen though:
http://blogbythebay.com/2007/05/07/market-monday-report-marin-real-estate-market-update/Shrink it and see if that solves the problem for you. The best way to tell which post is the one responsible is to check all the posts on your main page, one at a time (ie click on the permalink and see what their solo page looks like; the one with the problem will have the sidebar error, while the others won’t).

Looks fine to me in IE6 as well. MistyLook is one of those themes that are designed kind of iffy. When it first came out for regular wordpress, i had a lot of problems with dropping sidebars even without pictures in my posts and had sliding bars all the time.

Hmmm. I resized it, but it still is at the bottom in my IE. Maybe I need a theme change.

What screen resolution are you using?
Got anything else taking up space with your browser? Bars? Panels along the side?

I’m having the same problem here: http://www.laurierking.com/wp.php It may look fine to your when you arrive, but refresh or click on the login link and then click “back to Laurie R. King Mutterings” link. It has something do do with refreshing the page. It has nothing to do, at least in my case, with an image being too big.
I saw this problem in another site I did. I could not resolve it and had to resort to tables. If someone can find a solution, I’ll be eternally grateful.

We can’t help you here; this forum is for support of WordPress.com hosted blogs only. They’ll be able to help you at WordPress.org instead.

Go through each post induvidually, if it only does it on one or two it will be an image or some element too big for the page, i had this problem a few days ago and it was just one image in a whole page which was too big:
