Sidebar Nightmare: Advice Needed

  • Unknown's avatar

    I am trying to get the shop section in my client’s website to float left and for the content to float right so. I can insert a sidebar specifically for the shop. I have removed all sidebars from the side along with their associated php code.

    Here is the code I am using for the site as well as images of the containers. Any help you guys could offer would be great.

    aside.sidebar.sidebar-primary.widget-area.col-md-3 {
    max-width:235px;
    background:orange;
    float:left;
    }
    .wcc_block {
    width:200px;
    }
    #main{
    background:green;
    width:1000px;
    }
    .site-inner {
    clear: both;
    overflow: hidden;
    max-width:1400px;
    margin:0 auto;
    margin-top: 20px;

    }

  • Hi there,

    Can you please let me know your site’s address so I can point you in the right direction of getting support?

    Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software you need to seek help at these forums:

    I would love to do so, however, my client’s site is password-protected, so I am not allowed to share the password with you. If there are any other pieces of information you might need to better understand the issue like code or screenshots, please let me know, and I will provide you with all of the associated information.

  • If the site’s hosted here, staff will be able to see it even if the entire site is private. I don’t see any sites on our servers, though, that are able to use custom CSS. Are you using a different login to write here?

    Or, did you mean to post in the WordPress forums for the free software?

    These forums are specific to the sites using our managed service. We take care of maintenance, security, and support for the WordPress sites hosted on our servers, so if you’re interested, we have more information here:

    For this situation, though, it might be best to contact the theme’s support. I hope this helps!

    I am using a different account, not my client’s account.

    The site url is shiftbmw.com. Hope you guys can do something with this even though it is private.

  • That site is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the open-source WordPress.org software and it is hosted elsewhere. Therefore, you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
