Sidebar not displaying properly

  • Unknown's avatar

I am not sure my first question went through. My blog is suddenly not displaying the sidebar when it opens on the main page (where posts appear, not the About page). I can get it to show if I click on a specific post or go to a different page, but it is not showing up if you start at the URL. Instead icons for related stories appear on the right.

    Please help! Thanks,
    Amy

I tried all this as best I can, and nothing worked. I have no technology background, and this is VERY confusing. Can someone please help walk me through this? This is very troubling!

    Thank you,
    Amy

Is there a way to talk to someone at WordPress on the phone?

I have tried every step here again and again. I only have one text widget, and it’s been on the blog for a couple of months without problem (Geneabloggers logo), and I have checked my posts over and over, followed the steps, looked for stray code (though I don’t really know what I am looking for). Nothing has worked!

One direction said to select View Source from the View menu of my browser—my browser (I tried it both with Chrome and Firefox) does not have such an option.

    Please help!! Thanks!!

OK, I fixed it! Now I have no idea why or how it finally worked, but it seems to be working now.

Thank you—sorry I am such a non-techie. And I sure wish I knew what fixed it! But hopefully it will not happen again….
