Sidebar NOT fixed!
-
Hi…
I use the Garland layout. I got everything back in place around half an hour ago, but now my right hand sidebar has disappeared completely. It’s not the same problem as last time.
Anyone else having this problem?
-
Yep, I think i’m using Andreas09, and I’ve got some widgets like categories, archives, blogroll on my webpage, but they don’t actually show up in my widget dashboard. All the more interesting widgets have gone
-
Ok, here’s a weird thing…. (sorry about the caps in the subject line, btw..)
When I open one of my blogs, all the widgets in the right sidebar reappear. When you look at my “home” page , (which there really isn’t one. It’s just my blogs in one long list) the sidebar is empty. It didn’t used to be that way. The widgets should all be there, no matter if you’re looking at all the blogs, or just one.
Help? :)

Dave: That’s exactly what happened to me earlier and that problem was fixed. Everything was back to normal for about an hour, and now a whole sidebar is missing all together. The left hand one is fine, though…
Might have to send an email, methinks…..

Right now, I can see all your sidebars (both the left and right) on IE so the widgets you’re talking about is working. Just that I’m using IE6 in the office and the main blog page & right sidebar went down the bottom of my screen. I think the photos you are posting is big enough to fit into the post itself.

Mine switched itself around overnight. I’m using Andreas09. All of my text widgets are gone, and some of the regular items (categories, archives, etc.) have switched sides of the layout.

vanessa – yours looks okay
dave – can you describe in a little more detail please?
nosy – yours do appear default. Can you rearrange on the widgets page?

Vanessa, in post http://vanessagx.wordpress.com/2007/04/18/beware-the-phantom-knicker-nicker/
you have extremely long word. Cut it into pieces and it should solve the problem. This is only an issue in Internet Explorer and more about it can be found at http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/expandingboxbug.html

Thank You….I am using the Andreas theme and all is back to normal. I had switched some of my widgets around yesterday thinking the problem was on my end and had to go back and fix that. I had to switch out the categories and the links widget. I have my text back.
Appreciate the fix…..You can check my site by just clicking on my name.

Okay, just did. But all my imageshack images on the sidebars are gone. Weird.
-
Serola, you are truly brilliant!
Problem solved…. I am truly impressed.
I use Avant Browser, which of course is an extension of IE…
I’ll check out that link. Thanks!

My sidebar is there, but not all of my widgets appear. In particular, I am missing my Blogroll. The layout I’m using is MistyLook by Sadish

If anyone forgets what goes where, check your site on Google’s cache and it will show from days earlier.

This is a “me too” post. I didn’t make any changes to my presentation, but the material in my sidebar is mysteriously gone. When I look under “Presentation” and “custom sidebar” clicks, everything I had put there is gone. Should I wait and see if it reappears, or re-do it? Thanks! Susan

Hi,
I kind of have the same problem. I use the unsleepable template. My sidebar has reappeared but the bottom bar seems to be set on default (it’s showing recent entries, categories and archives) and not to the text widget I have in widget edit (I can actually see that the text widget has been put in the bottom bar box). The default bottom bar shows on the ‘homepage’ but not on the individual pages (nothing appears). What’s the best way of fixing this? Many Thanks, Rachel -
I’m using the Tarski theme, and widgets have disappeared from my sidebar, too. (Blogroll is still there, but Recent Posts, Categories, and Archives are gone.)
-
my sidebar disappeared and it was replaced with the standard one. I use the Tarski theme
-
I didn’t mention this earlier – I also use the Tarski theme, modified with a photo. I’ll keep checking back because lord knows, it’s more entertaining than revising my new chapter…..Susan

my sidebars are a mess I sure hope they fix them I don’t even want to think of how much time and energy it will take to rebuild them
