Sidebar not visible

  I customized a blank WordPress theme to look similar to the other pages on my website but am unable to see the sidebar or any widgets I add to it. The theme contains a sidebar.php It also contains a functions.php with the following code: if ( function_exists(‘register_sidebar’) )
  register_sidebar(); (this is not the only code in the functions.php file) The option to add widgets to the sidebar exists, but they are not visible on the page. http://carabrookins.com/cgi/wp/

  That is not a WordPress.COM hosted site. We cannot help you with it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
