Sidebar not working for button theme.
-
I love this button theme! It is so cute and I think it will work perfectly for my blog, but I am having trouble with the sidebar. I want social media icons and a search option right up at the top so I am trying to set them up in the sidebar, but all the widgets I put in the sidebar end up at the bottom of the page rather than the side. Am I doing something wrong? What I read in the description says that this is a one column page unless you set up the sidebar, but it’s not working that way for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
but all the widgets I put in the sidebar end up at the bottom of the page rather than the side.
This result often indicates a formatting error in the content of a post or page. See the HTML Troubleshooting support page. Where does this happen? For example, do the widgets get relocated to the bottom on the blog page, on individual posts and pages, or everywhere? The site is private, so volunteers such as myself can not visit it.

@Jem,
If you’d like to make the site public temporarily, I might be able to detect the cause of the deflection of the widgets. Otherwise, I’d suggest that you add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.

Hi @jemsopalmoon!
It looks like you may have switched away from the Button theme since your last post – it’s possible that an HTML error like @musicdoc1 described is the cause of the issue.
If you’d like, you can switch back to Button, and let us know which page you’ve noticed the problem on so we can take a look :)
