Sidebar on free wordpress theme

Hi, I am creating a blog using the free wordpress site. However, the Blix template (one of the 79 free templates) does not show the sidebar on all pages. I would like to modify but how do I do this without being able to upload the modified theme .php files? When looking at the modification abilities online, only CSS is an options showing. Am I missing something? The person who created the site posted that he will not be modifying the design due to health reasons—I don’t want to ask him if he is ill. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    (1) We cannot access let alone edit the HTML or PHP in the underlying template files for our themes. This is a wpMU (wordpress multiuser) blogging platform. All members using the same theme are using the same template. Therefore you can see why we cannot access the files ofr edit them.

    (2) CSS editing is only recommended to those who are experienced enough to know that CSS editing of the stylesheet affcts only appearance and cannot be used to alter functionality in any way.

    (3) The theme you chose is a popular one that has “quirks”. The easiest way to get the functionality you want is to switch to another themes that does display the sidebar on every page. In fact, most themes do that. The INove theme also has the option of choosing which pages to display sidebars on.
