Sidebar on Posts? How to?

  First, I have to admit I don’t understand the difference between Posts and Pages. I know I tried to do individual pages at first and something wasn’t working so my blog has grown with me just adding posts. I would like to have the side bar appear on the posts just like on the initial page… is there a way to do this? If not, is there a way to turn the posts into pages without losing comments etc?

  That is a main page since it is default and shows the sidebar.
  But if you go to: http://jrmints.com/blog/?p=1 you don’t get the sidebar.

  You have to change themes. Some themes don’t show sidebars on individual pages and posts.
