sidebar on the side

  Hello! I am new to wordpress so I’m still trying to figure everything out. Under customizing > widgets > sidebar I have many widgets, and I would like to have this entire sidebar on the side of my blog posts instead of at the bottom of the page. I cannot find where it says to manage the location of this sidebar so if anyone could help me out that would be great!
