Sidebar order on page customisation

  I am helping a friend design and build their woocommerce store on wordpress. However, when in mobile view the sidebar is always at the bottom of the page. I have tried custom css from other forums but none of them work and short code in the top banner of the page to try and include a search bar as that is the most important function we need.

  Does any one know and free ways of doing this via plugins or something? ideally we want to keep the costs as low as possible before start up.
