sidebar pictures and links
-
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to add a picture to the sidebar of my blog that I can also make into a link with text? Similar to the Gravatar widget but with a different picture instead of my gravitar. Thanks.

Get a photo hosting account such as http://www.photobucket.com
Upload the photo you want to use there.<img src=”thephotobucketpicturelink”>
Use that code on the text widget. After you paste it, write whatever you want to write below/above the code. -

@leetgamer, put a backtick (on key with ~) at the beginning and end of your code here to keep wordpress from mucking with it.

Thanks for the reply, but I’m confused now. Can you explain it again from the top? Sorry.

You can put images with links attached into text widgets in your sidebar, and you do not have to upload the images to phtobucket, you can upload them here.
First, your images have to be about 200px wide or less. 200 will work for the theme you are using, but if you might change themes in the future, you might be better off making the images 170px wide.
