  Did you set the blog to display only one post per page and go through them to see if it is one particular post that is causing the issue?

  Yes – I did try that. Each individual post looks okay, as does the By Way of … page. Grr….!

  FOUND IT! Your method was the key, but I didn’t look back in time far enough. I thought it was a recent post because it just changed suddenly!

  I forgot that I added a caption to an image on an earlier post and that increased its size just enough to bump the sidebar out of whack and down to the bottom!

  It’s fine now.

  This is the last thing I see that might be an issue. Open the post “Doubt in Eden” then switch to the HTML view. Right below the code for your image,

  <img class="alignnone" width="280" height="360" alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Adam_Eva,_Durer,_1504.jpg" style="border: 1px solid black;"/>
  </a>

  there is this code which is not terminated by a closing tag and it doesn’t really need to be there

  <a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Adam_Eva,_Durer,_1504.jpg"/>

  remove that code and save the post.

  Yay! Glad you found it. I would fix the thing I mentioned just above. I had forgotten to refresh before I posted it, but it should be fixed at any rate.
