Sidebar showing up below the fold

Rather than boring you with looking through my whole blog – can you tell me how to tell which post is wrong? What do I check ? I am having this issue but I corrected it a few days back – now it’s happening again but the latest image I put in is nowhere near the sides of the blog. How do I know how big a picture can be in the main blog frame before it will screw up the sidebar frame?

If you posted a link to the post in question then maybe we could answer you specifically.
Without one we would simply be navel gazing and speculating. The FAQs produced this regarding size: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/25/how-big-can-my-images-be/
If this is your blog http://musingsofabittergirl.wordpress.com/ then I don’t see any problem with your sidebar. It’s exactly where it should be using a firefox 2.0.0.4 browser so please do post the link to the post in question. Also tell us which browser and version of it you are using please.

I don’t use Firefox and like the others here, in IE it is messed up – only shows the sidebar after the last post.

Using IE I can’t see any image that is causing this problem in the posts on your front page. All I see is that the Sonific widget in your sidebar overflows the space into the background. Perhaps that’s the cause. If that’s not it then maybe drmike can lend a hand.

I thought so. Thanks for the confirmation. :)
The Boxnet widget is also over-flowing the sidebar.
Could that be part of the problem too? -
I’m having a similar problem with my sidebar at stfrancis.wordpress.com, looking at the image size in my background was suggested, but resizing and even removing did not solve the problem.
My left sidebar completely disappears in IE when the element is positioned absolutely. Otherwise it appears, but with a gap above it. I’ve read that IE sometimes has difficulty showing an absolutely positioned element after a floated element, but I’ve been unable to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no images in my post or anything, but I woke up this morning and logged on, and my sidebar decided to show up at the bottom of all my posts…is it just an IE issue? Because it was fine before, and nothing has changed between yesterday and today…weird.
If anyone has any tips let me know; I don’t know jack about computers :-)-Romi

You’re welcome and best wishes.
P.S. The support link is right at the top of this page between “Features” and “Story”.
