Sidebar still at bottom of page?
-
My sidebar has moved to the bottom of the page, and I want it at the side. I followed the directions to try to find the div tags, but didn’t see any. Can I get my tag cloud, search, etc., moved to the side — or perhaps I accidentally chose a theme that doesn’t allow for this? Thanks

If the issue is one or more extra div tags in a post (that’s usually but not always the case), you can correct things without actually trying to find the tag(s). See here:

I’m still confused. I followed the “B” directions above (thanks for that), but it didn’t work. So I poked around some more. I thought perhaps I’d chosen a theme (Chunk) that only offers footers (because that’s the only widget section available to put widget into). The description seems to confirm it: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/chunk/. Since my other blog allowed more options (side bar, second footer, and so on) I was about to conclude that only a footer would be permitted in Chunk theme (I’m fairly new to all this). Then I saw a post someone who wants to *remove* sidebars from the Chunk theme (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-side-bar-in-chunk-theme). Thoughts??

The wordpress.com version of Chunk doesn’t have a sidebar.
Never consult the wordpress.ORG forum: it’s for self-hosted blogs. The reason there are two separate forms is precisely that the software is different, the themes or theme versions are different, etc etc.

I’ve tried all the suggestions except for code. I don’t know anything about that.. I did go to all post, then edit in the pull down menu. But I could’nt find draft from the status pulldown. That was confusing. My blog sidebar is still messed up. Any suggestions? blog is mikelimon.wordpress.com
Thanks!
Mike
