Sidebar text widget

    In the Sidebar, can a text widget say, “WELCOME BACK!” without requiring a page, a post, or a link to something? I want WELCOME BACK! to appear above “Home,” just like it is above “Donate.” When I try to move it above Home in my menu, nothing is there to add to the menu. If I add a page or post, I get one of those “embarrassing” pages when Welcome… is clicked–it should not be clickable.

    Sounds trivial, but I do want to put it on all my sites. Got the idea from a strip mall that put up a smallish, rectangle sign along the road entrance saying simply, “WELCOME BACK!” I realized it would always be appropriate. WELCOME… on my site now, only not above “Home.” I cannot see it in Appearance, Menu, to move it.
