sidebar text widget scrollbar

  Hi,
  I’m trying to, if possible, add colour to my scrollbar, in my sidebar text widget. I’m not too advanced in html, i only know the basics really.
  this is the code i have for the scrollbar:
  <div style=’overflow:auto;height:143px;’>
  any help would be appreciated! :)
