    Hi Joe,

To quote from your other post:

So I just got a site going earlier today using the Shoreditch theme. It’s been good and I like it so far up to this point: I went into the customizer to find the sidebar widget that it is supposed to have in order to get that up and going with some content, and it was no where to be found.

The Customizer allows you to live preview changes to your site and, with that in mind, will only show the option of adding a sidebar widget when you’re previewing pages that the sidebar will actually display on.

With Shoreditch, the sidebar will only display on individual posts or pages that have the default page template assigned to them. If you navigate to such a page in the Customizer, you will then be able to access the option of adding a sidebar widget to it. You won’t be able to access the option while previewing from other page e.g. the home page.

Please let me know if that’s clear of if you have any further questions.

Ah yes, that makes sense, thanks siobhyb! I just tried it like you said by opening the customizer on a default page template page and I was able to add the sidebar widget. I knew I was missing something, and per usual, it was something simple that I just overlooked. Thanks again!
