Sidebar widgets

  I have tried to remove Archives and Meta from our side bar by going to widget but there no active wigets and the Archive and Meta are only waiting to be added. Were do I go please to remove them?

  All themes here will display a default display that appears to contain a sample set of widgets in the sidebar and/or sidebar when you have not yet added any of your own. Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the widgets you desire and configure them and the default display will disappear.
