Sidebar Widgets in Fjords4 have jammed

Is anyone else having problems with the sidebar widgets for the new Fjords template? I’ve been trying to edit them all day but the page is frozen. Is this a general WordPress problem or something specific to the new template? Thanks.

when editing widgets usually it’s nothing to do with the themes, but if you think so, you can try changing themes and see if you can edit the widgets. then when you’re finished change it back to fjords. if that still doesn’t work you can wait and see if the bug still persists, or you can make a report to feedback in your dashboard.

I use the Garland theme and my side bar widget page is frozen. It is if it is stuck as it is loading. It is viewable but not in the final loaded stage. BTW My dashboard does not load correctly either. The categories of Your Stuff and Whats Hot do not show. Only the topic titles. Refreshing the pages does nothing.
Firefox 1.5, XP Home, AVG anti virus, Spyware Guard, Windows Defender, Zone Alarm, and Spyware Blaster.
I have had all on my system for quite some time, well before I became a WordPress user. Save for the latest ver. of Firefox and Windows Defender. Both of which I installed at least a week ago, or two.
All are trusted programs I can assure you. :)I have cleared my cache and will now re-load firefox and see how it goes. A screenshot has been saved just in case, but I won’t bother showing it unless I really need to. Such a bother. lol

Clearing cache and re-loading Firefox did not help.
If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. :o

Notice the odd box like image in the upper right hand of page.
Anyone have a clue what it is? Configure?? -
Have you tried another theme to see if the same thing happens? I am sure that seems like a stupid question, just wanted to make sure that it is only happening in this theme for you as it seems like a backend issue (not theme specific) as it is on the editing widget page.

velvethammer is right.
Even I tried updating widgets using Garland theme. Same problem persists irrespective of the browser (I tried on Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.0.0.2).
All the widgets are jammed and are unmovable.I tried using other themes but there is no such problem with those.
I request moderators to look into the problem as early as possible. Thanks !

I’m having the same problem, and I’m using a different theme. Psychohistory.wordpress.com. When I go to the “Sidebar Widgets” page, I can’t edit anything. I’ve tried Firefox 2.0 and IE 7, both on Windows XP.

AdamNash You are using the ‘Garland’ theme. That is the one that stopped working for me. Maybe it is fixed(?) And how do you get that splash page to load prior to your page loading?
I must say I found that to be strange. lol -
The problem at this point has to do with WordPress. Many of us are experiencing all of the very same problems mentioned here; it seems to be a systems-wide melt-down….

I think something else is going on. I have sent a feedback to WordPress. Seems to be some missing Javascript…

I’m having a problem with the Garland theme as well. I can get the page and all, but the widgets refuse to be dragged!

I did have use the ‘Garland’ theme untill there were problems. I’d like to add something I had forgotten. The feedback tab in the dashboard was never visible, as far as I can recall.
I switched themes and am happy with what I have now. :) I am anxious to see if trackbacks work now….
