Sidebar WordPress hovers over links
-
I noticed yesterday that WordPress changed the way when you mouse over a link on the side bar it has a black background now and shows the front page of all the blog links when prior some were just feeds of current articles. But many links won’t show up in that window, some do, some don’t, and some are hit and miss and won’t load up. I like the new style, but what’s up. Is it in tweaking and getting the quirks out or what? It’s not just on my blogs but on other WordPress blogs I read. Also, with the new style it is causing alot the links to not load in a separate window when I have all mine set to open up that way. I would appreciate information on all this and what the troubles are.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some previews took longer than others, but that’s generally not a WordPress.com problem. And when I clicked on links in your sidebar, they opened in a new window.
What browser are you using?
-
-
Browser……..Google Chrome. But that cannot be where the problem lies. It was all working just prefectly fine up till the change going black background and full front page of each blog.
-
Can you confirm that’s the blog we’re talking about? You could have any number and we wouldn’t be able to tell.

But also , it’s not just my blog. Other blogs that are wordpress.. bloggers that I correspond with say they are having the same thing happen.
-
Thank you for the confirmation; in this case, the specific blog matters more than in most cases, because some blogs have Snapshots enabled and some don’t.
I believe this is linked to the issue in this thread:

Which basically means sit tight and wait for them to fix it.

By Alex’s remark in the other thread and Heather’s remark in the WP.com blog post I linked to there, it’s not a problem needing fixing. SnapShots are being replaced by whatever that M-shots thing is.

Yes, but the M-shots aren’t working right now, and they’re fixing them. That’s why you’re seeing these errors. Because the blogs with snapshots enabled are now showing M-shots.
