Sidebar/Blogroll
-
Hi, I just followed a thread for adding an image to a sidebar.
Thanks:)However, my blogroll disappeared from the side as did my “about”
Can anyone tell me what I need to change?
**I am on my way to bed and will check in the morning.
Thanks much. -
did you change you theme? because some themes do not automatically add the blogroll, or link widget and the page widget, which would explain why your blogroll and page is missing from the sidebar.
if not, never mind, just add the link and page widget to your sidebar and all is restored!

I also just changed my theme and can’t seem to get my blogroll up. Any suggestions? The sidebar widget shows the link there but there are no names on the home page. Make sense?

Thank you! I guess I just didn’t realize that is what those items were called!
Thanks again.

drivereight: err, not really. what do you mean by no names on the home page? you did put the link widget in your sidebar right? otherwise you cannot see your blogroll on your front page.

Like sulz I don’t have a clue what you are talking about. *lol* What does this have to do with names? You do know that your front page is your running posts page and the everything you post will end up there with the most recent post on top, don’t you?
From the FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/12/24/what-is-a-widget/
This is also aimed at helping with with the set up and configuring of widgets including the links widget too. -
I don’t think I can add anything to my sidebar. WordPress automatically puts my posts, my blogrolls, and some categories on the right side. Is there a way for me to put things into the sidebar?

Everything you have in the right hand column of your blog is in the sidebar so I’m not clear on how I can help you here. Please read the information at the two links located in the post directly above yours. :)
